Cancer - One More Reason to Exercise

I recently attended a seminar given by Andrea Leiserowitz, MPT Oncology Specialist
with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and got a ton of interesting news about exercise and cancer.

Here's the sobering stuff:

Men have a 1 in 2 chance of cancer in their lifetime.

Women have a 1 in 3 chance.

1/3 of Cancer Deaths in 2005 are related to Nutrition, Obesity and Overweight related issues, and Physical Inactivity.

The good news:

Exercise helps prevent cancer, can boost your immune system if you have cancer, and can help you get better when you have undergone cancer treatment.

Just one more reason to get on the train!

If you have cancer, or know of somebody who does, exercise may help. Talk to your doctor about improving your health through exercise.
