Eating out

Wow! It’s amazing what they give you at the restaurant these days! It’s a miracle we all don’t weigh 500 pounds.

We went to a popular steak house for dinner on our free day and had drinks, appetizers, a main course, and dessert for $25 each.

For two people used to eating one portion of carbohydrates, one portion of protein, and one portion of vegetables for dinner, it was shocking to us how much we got. Sitting there trying to stay awake, I added it up and ended up with almost four times what we usually eat. Four Times!!

I left out the fact that most of the food was fried or dipped in butter.

Here’s the breakdown:

Appetizer: potatoes and cheese, bread (2), fried zucchini, chicken strips, shrimp, celery, green salad

Main Course: 6 oz steak, mashed potatoes, French fries

Dessert: Chocolate cake

Servings of Carbohydrates: 6
Servings of Protein: 3
Servings of Vegetables: 2

How could we make this work with Total Body Turnaround? Just order the main course, and choose baked potato instead of mashed (you can control how much sour cream and cheese goes on it). Get a green salad with dressing on the side.
